Happy Thoughts
I’ll describe here our very close connection with the (formerly Yale) Carbon Containment Lab of New Haven Connecticut.
About a year ago CCL approached us to learn whether they could implement a funded study of wood decomposition, considering multiple variables including burial depth, presence of moisture, species of biomass, and forms of biomass (chips, big pieces, sawdust, etc.). We were delighted. They implemented the test next to our first large scale operation site, and we supported their implementation. In exchange they offered to share ongoing data from their experiments, advise us on our MRV system, and help us make engineering decisions that will be useful throughout the industry for centuries to come.
